Requirements

Below are the requirements that need to be fulfilled before you start the integration process:

1. You need an active subscription with BrandsGateway
If you haven’t already purchased a subscription, then head over to https://brandsgateway.com/dropshipping/ to check our packages.

2. You need to make sure you have an SSL Certificate (HTTPS)
For this step, you need to speak to your web hosting company and make sure that you have SSL installed on your website.

3. You need to have WooCommerce plugin installed.

Integration and initial importing

1. You must enable pretty permalinks on your WordPress installation

Access the WordPress Admin Panel;
Go to ‘Dashboard’;
Scroll down to find ‘Settings’ in the left-hand menu and select ‘Permalink’;
Enable ‘Post name’;
Click ‘Save changes'.

2. Install WooCommerce Brands Plugin

Download the WooCommerce Brands plugin https://github.com/trajche/woocommerce-brands/archive/refs/heads/master.zip ;
Access the ‘WordPress Admin Panel’;
Go to ‘Dashboard’;
Click on ‘Plugins’.
Click on ‘Add New’;

Select the zip file from your computer that you downloaded during Step 1;

Install the plugin;
Activate the plugin.

3. Creating API keys for your WooCommerce store

To find your API key:

Go to 'WooCommerce’;
Go to ‘Settings’ > ‘Advanced’ > ‘REST API’ > ‘Create an API Key’;
Make sure to add the permissions to ‘Read/Write’.

4. Connect to BrandsGateway using your API keys

To connect to BrandsGateway:

Go to your BrandsGateway Account > Dropshipping > WooCommerce and click on connect.

Accept the invite link that we have sent you;

Log in to your ‘ShopWoo Account’ and fulfil the following information:

- Your store URL;
- API Key;
- API Secret.

Click on ‘Validate API’;
Once you validate the API, you can start setting your store by adding the Currency, Language, and Price Rounding.

5. Product data synchronization

Synchronization settings show what features will be influenced by BrandsGateway. For example, if you want to change descriptions or titles, translate them in your own language, you need to disable the ‘Titles’ and ‘Descriptions’ settings. Otherwise, once the system gets updated, products will be back to their state as in BrandsGateway. However, we recommend keeping the ‘Categories’ synced.

You need to agree to our Terms & Conditions and Register.

6. Brands filter

Here you can choose to include or exclude certain Brands.

7. Vendors filter

Here you can choose to include or exclude certain Vendors.

Product categories and prices

At the next step, you can start importing our inventory to your store.

You can choose to Select all categories, Duplicate Retailer Mapping or do the Add Mapping to do the category mapping manually.

If you choose to Duplicate Retailer Mapping, you first need to remove all categories besides the default one from your store.

1. Category Mapping

Category Mapping is needed for the import of our products to your store. Once accessed ‘ShopWoo’ > ‘Settings’ > ‘Category Mapping’, you can select our category layout on the left (what you want to import) and connect to your WooCommerce categories on the right. Products from selected categories will be imported to your store.

2. Price Mark-up
In category mapping, you can add markup for each category and a fixed shipping cost to be included in a product price.

Your selling price can be calculated with the following formula:
Wholesale price (BrandsGateway price) * Markup + Shipping cost = Your selling price

Example: €100 *2 + 20 = €220

You can always change markup and add a fixed shipping cost that will be added to the item price. Prices will be updated within 24 hours.

Once you are done, click on start import. The importing process takes several hours.
