Category Mapping for WooCommerce Users

To ensure products are imported into the correct categories on your store, you will need to complete Category Mapping.

How to Access Category Mapping

Navigate to: BrandsGateway → Settings → Category Mapping

Understanding the Fields

  • Retailer Category → These are the categories from BrandsGateway’s side.
  • Dropshipper CategoryThese are the categories from your WooCommerce store.

You will need to match (map) our categories to your store categories so that products are imported correctly and do not appear as Uncategorized.

Important Notes

  • The categories that appear in Category Mapping depend on the selection you made in Import Filters.
  • Only the categories related to your selected filters will be displayed.
  • If you selected parent categories such as Bags and Shoes, all related subcategories will also appear in the mapping section.

What You Need to Do

  1. Select the appropriate Dropshipper Category for each Retailer Category.
  2. Save the mapping.

  1. Once mapped, products will start importing into the correct categories on your WooCommerce store.

  1. You can track the product import progress by navigating to: **Home → Queue. **

There, you will be able to monitor how the products are being imported into your store.

Note: If you prefer a more structured catalog, you can also create subcategories in your WooCommerce store and map them specifically to the corresponding subcategories on our end. This gives you more control over how products are organized.

The structure you choose depends entirely on your business preference and how you would like your store to be organized.
