Custom Filed Mapping: What it influences and how to add Custom fields?
Custom Field Mapping is primarily used to map the EAN (barcode) from BrandsGateway to your store’s custom fields.
This feature is most commonly used by WooCommerce dropshippers, who map the EAN value to their own meta fields for product identification, filtering, or integrations. In some cases, dropshippers may also use the EAN as part of their product data (e.g., product names or internal references).
Additionally, this functionality was designed with future flexibility in mind, allowing for the mapping of additional fields as more data points become available.
Accessing the Feature:
- Navigate to the Settings menu.
- Click on Custom Fields.

- Creating a New Custom Fields:
Once in the Custom Field Mapping section, you can start creating a new custom field mapping.
To change the way product variations are displayed, for example, replacing the product name with a custom field, follow these steps:
- Setting Up Custom Fields:
- Select Product Variation: Choose the specific product variation you want to map.
- Connect with EAN13 Number: Link the selected product variation with the EAN13 number.
- Select Dropshippers Custom Field: Use the custom field provided for dropshippers.
- Name the Custom Field: Enter a name for this field, such as EAN13.
- Click on Save to apply the changes.

By doing this, all product variations will now display using the EAN13 number instead of the standard product name.
- Managing Custom Fields:
- You can always revisit this section to modify your mappings.
- You have the flexibility to add new mappings, change existing ones, or delete any mappings that are no longer needed.
