BrandsGateway Integration with Shopify

The import to your Shopify store is a simple 3-step process.

Importing our products to your Shopify store

Installing BrandsGateway’s app for Shopify

Search for BrandsGateway App on the Shopify App Market and click on ‘Add App’;

Install the BrandsGateway App;

Select the desired dropshipping package, and click on ‘Activate’;

Click on 'Approve'.

Setting up as dropshipper

Insert your email address and click on 'Validate API';

Set the Currency, Language, and Price Rounding settings for your store;

Select the 'Include Brand To Product Name' feature, if you want the Brand name to be included inside the product name;

Scroll a bit down, and set the 'Synchronization Settings' for your store;

Synchronization settings show what features will be influenced by BrandsGateway. For example, if you want to change descriptions or titles, or translate them in your own language, you need to disable the 'Titles' and 'Descriptions' settings. Otherwise, once the system gets updated, products will be back to their state as in BrandsGateway. However, we recommend keeping the 'Categories' sync.

Once you are done with setting the synchronization settings, you need to accept our Terms & Conditions and click on 'Register'.

Importing our products to your Shopify store

At the next step, you can start importing our inventory to your store.

Category Mapping is the process of matching BrandsGateway’s main categories and subcategories of products with your Shopify Manual Collections. Category Mapping is needed for the import of our products to your store. Once you accessed ShopWoo > Settings > Category Mapping, you can select our category layout on the left (what you want to import) and connect to your Shopify collections on the right. Products from selected categories will be imported to your store.

There are two different ways to do the initial import.

1. Select All Categories

You can do the initial import by selecting all categories, which will replicate all BrandsGateway Categories on the left side under ‘Retailer Category’ and you will need to match them with your Shopify Manual collections.

You need to edit each mapping by matching each Retailer Category with your Shopify Manual collections under Dropshipper Category. Set the desired markups and a fixed shipping value (optional).

Do the same process for each mapping and click 'Save' at the bottom of the page. The import process will start automatically.

2. Add mappings

You can choose the option to add the mappings manually, and import products from desired categories.

Price Mark-up and Fixed shipping costs

In category mapping, you can add markup for each category and a fixed shipping cost to be included in a product price.

Your selling price can be calculated with the following formula:
Wholesale price (BrandsGateway price) * Markup + Shipping cost = Your selling price

Example: €100 *2 + 20 = €220

You can always change the markup and add a fixed shipping cost that will be added to the item price. Prices will be updated within 24 hours.

Once you are done, click on start import. The importing process takes several hours.

1. Manuel collections

In order to 'Add Mapping' in Shopwoo, it is necessary to create 'Manual Collections' in your Shopify store that will be matched with BrandsGateway’s categories of products. If you don’t create 'Manual Collections' in advance, you won’t be able to add mappings. Your ‘Manual Collections’ can be organized as you wish, but we recommend keeping them similar to BrandsGateway’s collections.

- How to create a 'Manual Collection' on Shopify?

Under 'Products' in the 'Menu' on your left side in your Shopify Store select 'Collections';
From the upper right corner select 'Add Collection';
Write the title of your new collection;
Select 'Manual Collection' in the 'Collection Type' panel;
Click 'Save' in the upper right corner.

2. Automated collections

You can create different 'Automated Collections'’ once you have created your 'Manual Collections' and mapped them with BrandsGateway’s product categories and subcategories. Creating 'Automated Collections' can help you filter your collections based on diverse filter tags like 'Product Title', 'Product Vendor’, 'Inventory Stock', etc.

Shopwoo automatically creates tags that can enable you to better filter your collections and create different 'Automated Collections' after the mapping of your main 'Manual Collections' with BrandsGateway’s categories and subcategories.
