Why did my product prices decrease after updating the currency rate?
The currency rate in the BrandsGateway app (Shopwoo) updates automatically. However, since product prices are synced for each variation individually, the more products your store contains, the more update requests are sent to Shopify (or your respective platform).
As Shopify places limits on the number of requests that can be processed per minute, this can occasionally cause delays. To help you maintain full control over pricing and avoid potential issues, we have made it possible for you to manually set your own currency rate.
- Log in to your BrandsGateway app / ShopWoo Dashboard
- Go to Settings
- Navigate to General Settings
- Locate the Currency and the Currency Rate section
- Enter your desired currency and an exchange rate
- Click Save
Once saved, your product prices will be updated automatically, typically within 24 hours.
Alternative Option: Use EUR and Install a Currency Converter
If you prefer, you can choose to import products in EUR and then install a currency conversion plugin on your store. This approach lets you display prices in multiple currencies based on your customers’ location.
